Our goal is to make pieces that cater to each woman and accentuate their beauty. We create a range of styles and price points, so every customer can find something they love and can afford.

The clip-able blooms are a timeless fashion statement. Girly girls will love the feminine details and pretty crystals that enhance these clips. The more sophisticated femme fatale also appreciates the high quality of the blooms and their simple and elegant design. No glitter or other "overdone," artificial bling are added to the blooms. Only a few select, small crystals are delicately placed where they will catch the light.

I take great care in tilting each bloom 'just so' as it is placed onto the clip to curve gently around your ear. I literally stand in front of a mirror holding each clip up to my face and choose how the blooms will be placed. You will not find this kind of attention to detail on mass produced hair clips.

We offer a french barrette as a clip choice for some of the blooms, but recommend the duckbill or alligator clip for most. The duckbill and alligator offer more flexibility as to where you place the clip and keep the flower closer to your head - which is a more natural look.

A little bit about me...I am southern belle originally from Atlanta, Georgia and I graduated Atlanta College of Art. My studies in art school included artists like Matisse and Georgia O'Keeffe, whose floral interpretations and style influenced my art work. I moved to Los Angeles to work as an animator for film. My love for everything retro, pinup and glamorous was fueled by all the history here in Hollywood. I began to make these floral barrettes to wear as the Hollywood Starlets of the 1940's and 50's did. Soon, women were stopping me on the street, in restaurants, in clubs asking where they can get one. Men would smile as I walked by or yell to me in traffic how "the flower is a nice touch!" So, I decided to offer the designs here at jonesiecake.com. You don't have to wear a floral clip everyday like me, but it sure makes people smile when you do! Everything on this site is one-of-a-kind and hand made to order. I scour the Los Angles Flower District for the most interesting and high quality silk flowers to make these one of a kind beauties.
