Marilyn Monroe (originally Norma Jean Mortenson) once said "No one ever told me I was pretty when I was a little girl. All little girls should be told they're pretty, even if they aren't." She was 1947's Miss California Artichoke Queen, Playboy's "Sweetheart" of the Month, December 1953 and that was the very first cover of Playboy! Her first modeling job paid only five dollars, but Marilyn lives forever in pop culture and a beauty icon.
